Monday is my planning and writing day - normally.

A few things went wrong yesterday with hubby home and lots of interruptions. 

But he made up for it with a nice trip up the coast for a client meeting, looking at some property and spending some time on the beach with the dog.

Niche is an important part of building an online business as it sets the foundation for the business name, the industry and the type of customer to be targeted.

When the niche is established the rest falls into place.

The Formula for Wealth

The numbers attending the summit on Saturday are growing well.  I've been surprised at the registrations for the event.  

I like checking the names to see how many are new potential clients and the good thing is 99% of registrations are people I have never heard of before. 

That is powerful.

#WorkandPlay

It may seem that my life evolves around work, but I love combining #workandplay.

Yesterday, we took a trip up the coast for hubby to quote on a possible job.  While there I took the opportunity to look at property for sale in the area that might be of interest to my investment groups.  There were some nice apartments but not meeting the criteria we have.

Once the work was over, it was a trip to the local beach.  One thing about Spain, it is usually warm and you can go onto the beach all year round and our puppy loves the sand.

Round and Round in Circles

It's surprising how much work goes into creating a website blog that is compliant with all of Google's new algorithm requirements.

The easy part this morning was writing an informative blog.  Trying to maintain the 70/30 ratio of informative to sales blogs.

Then came the next step adding the H2 and H3 headings; adding graphics; the table of contents; internal and external links; SEO tags and Meta tags then publishing it.

It is a pain, but definitely pays off as most of my blogs are now indexed on Google within 24 hours. But oh how I wish for the easier days of writing and publishing.

Google Adsense

This was on my hit list yesterday and today I checked on progress to find my website was deemed not ready for AdSense.

So, I've had to add 

• a popup for EU compliance.  
• New GDPR and CPRA compliance policies.  
• A plugin to create a popup tick box for accepting cookies  
• ChatGPT wrote the compliance policies which I edited to make more sense for my website.
• Google had a checklist that was completed to say everything was in place.

But the website was still not approved for Adsense.  So, off to my web host community for some advice.  

The suggestions they came back with were

- the site need 20-30 articles. No problem I have 42 on the site.

- there needs to be a certain level of impressions.  Again I exceed the number of impressions.

They came up with 9 suggestions.  The website exceeds all the suggestions except the one for the website being less than 6 months old.  

Ah well, back to the drawing board on monetising that website.  Might have to go back to good old-fashioned private advertising.

Day 2, 2024 - More Success - On a Roll

 What an amazing start to 2024 - the momentum has kept going today.

KNI Property

Contracts are in on 2 joint venture deals which sees ownership come through in the next month or two.

There may be some painting and decorating needed but these properties will be going out on airbnb and booking dot com over the next few weeks.

Formula for Wealth Summit

With a lot of automated advertising going out daily the numbers for this summit are starting to grow.  There were a few more signup today so the numbers are starting to look good.

This is the first summit held and part of my goal to hold a few more throughout the year.  The success of this one will determine what the future events will be like.

Online Entrepreneur

Two more blogs were released on the website https://theonlineentrepreneur.co.uk.  My target is to reach 60 blogs by the end of 6 months.  3 months left to go and I'm on target with 40 blogs written.

Impressions on the site are growing at a faster pace than I expected and I'm excited about the numbers.

I applied today for Google Adsense to be added to the account and I'm just waiting for a review to find out if it's accepted or not.

KNI Mastermind

Tonight is coaching with my mastermind group.  A fabulous group of people who know what they want and are willing to work hard to achieve it.

The coaching tonight will be around financial planning - not the normal financial planning but rather planning for investing success.  

The plan is built around business, property, digital assets and commodites.

New Year, New Day, New Opportunities

 Patience

First day back working and wow! what a productive day it has been.

Joint Ventures are part of the strategy for building wealth, but just sometimes, they take time to come to fruition.

Today, a deal that will suit one of my investment groups came to light.  Although not a 100% the terms we would have liked.  After some chats with the investment group, the go-ahead was given and now we are working on finalising everything.

This group has patiently wait for a deal to become available and it will be a great deal once completed.

Creating New Courses

I have just been putting the finishing touches to a new course due to start in 2 weeks.  The course is interactive and will be recorded live so not a great deal of content needed at this stage.

What I have been doing is creating the outline for the course, the graphics and supporting material.

Starting on the 15th January, I'm excited to launch this course and excited for the results clients should get.

I have been testing the strategies for 3 months and my results have been fantastic so far.  So, this step-by-step process is going to be very exciting.

Updating Websites

Formula for Wealth Presentation

Just under 2 weeks until the Formula for Wealth Summit and I've been putting the final touches on my presentation and summit offers.

This has been a work in progress for a few weeks but it's all finished today.  Now I can sit back and focus purely on the marketing side.

It has been an exciting start to the first day back at work for 2024.  Hope to have many more like this.

The Power of Testimonials

 Google Analytics provided some very interesting analysis today.

I've recently switched to placing a testimonial page on my website.  While I often have some testimonials scattered throughout the website until about 6 months ago, I had never used a specific testimonial page and pulled all the testimonials into one page.

Analytics showed that the second most viewed page on my website was the testimonial page.  Wow!

People really do look at the testimonials.

Not only was it the 2nd most viewed page, but it was also the 2nd highest for time spent on a page with a staggering 9mins 49s as the average.

This is very powerful as Google uses time spent on a website as one of the criteria for ranking pages in the search engine.  The longer the reader spends on a page the more value Google places on it.

The most successful blog on the site is a foundation blog that has 18 minutes. I expect the foundation blog to have the highest amount of views as all the other blogs link to it.  18 minutes is quite high, maybe people fell asleep reading it.

So, my thought for today is are you using testimonials to their best advantage?

Make 2024 Your Year - The Year You Achieve All You Desire

 As we wind down 2023 and welcome in 2024 I wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024.

What is your desire for 2024?

Many people set resolutions that they break on the first day or in the first week.  They say all sorts of things they want the new year to be like.  Yet, they are not willing to make the change within themselves to get the results they want.

Several years ago, I co-authored a book about Leadership written from the perspective of what your dog has taught you about leadership.

My focus was on how we learn to adapt and evolve to get the best from our dogs and how in business we have to do the same.

To achieve what we want in 2024 we need to change some of the things we are currently doing that hold us back.

Today, for me is a review of what I want in 2024 and what I'm willing to do to achieve it.

Understanding Google Impressions and Page Views

 What are Google impressions and why are they important?

Just two weeks ago, my website The Online Entrepreneur, was receiving an average of 130 impressions.  Suddenly, for the past 3 days it has been over 400 impressions.  Why has this gone up and is it a good thing.

As a content creator, just launching a new website it takes time to get the website high enough to get good rankings and people viewing the website. 

Many different strategies help your site get better rankings such as SEO Keywords.  This is what I have focused my attention on since launching the website along with creating content that Google likes and will index.

Indexing has proved easier than I first thought with most of the articles on the site indexed.  The ones that aren't, I've spent some time working on to get them up to scratch.

Impressions is the number of times my url links have been shown to searchers.

With the number increasing to 400 quickly it means I'm on the right track of getting my content and offers in front of potential clients without spending any money on advertising.

Another piece of data that was fascinating today was the time spent viewing a page.

It's quite fascinating that the second most viewed page with an average viewing time is the testimonials.

I created a separate page where I updated all the testimonials received from clients and peers. 

The average time spent on the site is 9 minutes 49 seconds.

I guess testimonials are still important.

Change is Constant

Most people fear or hate change but change is a part of our everyday lives. 

From the time we are born until we die our bodies are constantly changing.  While we see the change we often don't recognise it in others.

My 14-week-old puppy is constantly changing.  I wake up every day and look at the changes in him.  He was 1.1kg when we rescued him. 8 weeks later he is 8kg.  He is going to be a big dog and the daily change is incredible.  Yet, we take it for granted that he will grow up.  We accept he will change.

This was the theme of a blog I wrote this morning.

The second blog I wrote was about the best online marketing strategies where I looked at how to market a small business online.

Scheduling Posts for Future Events and Bulk Email Changes

 

The Formula for Wealth Summit

One thing I love about technology is the ability to schedule posts.

No more having to go online every day to put out advertising posts for future events.  

A lot of my clients are attracted through Facebook.  Using the Meta platform I'm able to schedule posts on both Facebook and Instagram

That is exactly what I've been doing today.

The Formula for Wealth Summit is being held on Saturday 13th Janaury 2024 and I have been setting up daily advertising with posts about each of the speakers and registration details.

I also created an event for the summit which is bringing in registrations.  I was really surprised and happy at the number of people who have already registered.  It looks as if it will be a promising event with plenty of attendees.

Some amazing speakers are covering topics around building an online business, business branding, mindset for success, and investing in property and shares.

Email Changes

Changes are being made around the use of gmail.com accounts and other generic email accounts for sending bulk emails.  Google, Bing and Yahoo have stated that as of the 1st of February 2024 changes are being made which will stop the use of general accounts such as mrxyz@gmail.com.

Each bulk mailing will now require an actual domain based email.

That has meant that I have to change the mailing list email that I use on Aweber.  Even though that account has been in use for many many years.

So, today, one of my websites was nominated as the site that all correspondence will now go through and I converted that to my aweber account for future email automation.

There is always something changing with technology and legislation to keep me out of mischief.

A Blog and Some Marketing Research

A website host, online training platform and a brilliant community helping one another to succeed online.

Wealthy Affiliate is the first place I visit every morning as soon as the computer is switched on usually to see the traffic and sales results for my websites.  I also help new people by answering any queries they have or simply writing a blog.

This morning was a blog about repurposing and recycling digital assets.  Digital Assets are websites and email lists etc.

When you work online there are many social media sites and websites that become redundant but they can be repurposed for any new online projects.

For instance, I have a Facebook account and several Facebook pages.  Some can be renamed to fit the image and branding of the business.  Similar to what I've done with this blog.

The more time we spend online the more our knowledge grows and what worked 10 or 20 years ago evolves as technology evolves.  

Rather than create new pages or websites we can repurpose existing sites that already have a following leveraging prior online work to build followers.

Research for an Article

Online Entrepreneurs rely on content to attract visitors to websites.  That means a constant supply of articles/blogs needs to be regularly added to a website.

Today, was all about researching for The Online Entrepreneur website.  The new blog is about Online Marketing Strategies and includes SMM, SEO and SEM strategies.

The blog is part-written and should be uploaded within the next day or two.

The life of an online entrepreneur is about keeping up with latest trends, understanding the impact they can have on a website and applying them for the best possible results.

Today, I revived this blog site plus some of the Social Media sites I haven't used in a while.

Why?

It's all about building SEO backlinks to my websites.

Why Build Backlinks?

Backlinks are the lifeline that help establish how good your website is.  It depends on having high ranking sites that link back to your website and particular articles on certain sites.

For example - In the blog What Types of SEO Links Does A Website Need - I talk about internal links, external links and back links.

These links lets the search engines know that there is important information that should be ranked higher.  This in turn helps your website grow in authority and stature.

Why Use Google Blogger? 

Google is an authority site that uses search engine bots to seek out good sites.  It obviously sees it's own sites as good informative sites that meet the criteria for quality information and reputation.

This Blogger site has been operational for over a decade and I have established trust with Google for this site.

Reviving this site and creating backlinks to my websites generates high ranking sites that will help boost the new website authority.

A day in the Life ... Back Again

It has been more than a few years since I wrote on this blog site mainly due to a change in direction with the focus going mainly to creating and delivering live training sessions.

2023, has been a tough year with the loss of eyesight, partially remedied by surgery and catching the dreaded covid, that left me with long-term covid and lots of associated ailments.

As a result, I've moved away from live coaching to more online coaching and offering online courses.  This has meant building more websites and getting back into content creation.

For that reason, I'm reviving the blog - A day in the life .... This is a daily update of what I'm doing to pivot my online business along with investment strategies.

The Online Entrepreneur started life as a newsletter that is sent out each Saturday morning with a tip and action to help readers grow their online business.  This was so successful that it has evolved into a website The Online Entrepreneur.  

This is a resource of information about building online businesses that are SEO content-based with tips and tricks for building a successful online business selling your courses or affiliate products.

I started the website as a project when doing training with clients at the beginning of October 2023.  

It was designed to teach clients what is needed to get an online business up and running.  

Back in 2003, I started life as an online entrepreneur and moved away from it.  I love the experience of getting back into writing and building online sites again.

Water Your Investments

What are you waiting for? 

Today history was made in America. A bankrupt man who has never been in politics; never served his country in a government role or in the military one was elected President of the United States of American. 

Two years ago he had a dream to become a candidate for the Presidency. The Republicans made jokes about him and ridiculed him. He put a plan together and persevered until he'd eliminated all the other candidates and got the Republican nomination.

Even with the nomination Republican Party members distanced themselves from him. Yet he continued to work his plan and take action every single day until he achieved his dream. He campaigned day after day putting one foot in front of the other. When every piece of dirt was found and thrown at him he kept his head high and his belief in himself even higher. When the polls said he couldn't win he kept campaigning and working his plan. He pulled together a team of people and together they overcame every obstacle in his way to win an election and make him  President Elect of the United States of America. 

You don't need to like or agree with his politics the point here is he had a dream, a plan and took action every day until his dream was achieved. 

  

Just over 2 decades ago a car crash left me unable to walk or move my right arm. When the doctors gave up on me I built a team of people around with the same focus and determination as me that I would walk again. It took a year to walk, another year to master stairs, 5 years to get back on a tennis court and 7 years to get back on skis. A dream, a plan and action every single day brought the results I craved. An ability to walk and live the life I wanted to. 

These same values saw me borrow £300 on a credit card and turn it into £10 million within 4 years all through having a dream, putting a plan together and taking action every single day. 

If a bankrupt man can become president. If I can learn to walk and build incredible wealth and lifestyle what greatness can you achieve? All you need is a dream, a plan and to take action every day until you succeed.
